Domaine Hubert Brochard Pouilly-Fume Vieilles Vignes is rich and well rounded thanks to its later harvest and its time in oak, with bold citrus fruit flavours and a perfect level of acidity to refresh the palate. Delicious now, but there’s no hurry to drink it.

The fruit from 40 year old Sauvignon Blanc vines was hand picked in October, late in the growing season for a variety often harvested slightly unripe to preserve its fresh acidity. This Domaine Hubert Brochard Pouilly-Fumé Vieilles Vignes was then fermented and matured upon its lees in large (600l) old oak barrels. This atypically fuller bodied style is surprisingly ageworthy, and will keep and evolve for up to 8 – 10 years.
